In my first days
in the USA , I used to live in Loma Linda .I was staying in a nice apartment
with my sister and her husband .It was a perfect place to live in because
everything was nearby ,I didn't need to
buy a car .Actually the bus was enough ,it comes every 10 minutes and it take
me wherever I went ,I found a bus near to us .However , I usually rode the bus
with my sister , and she did everything .she paid and chose the bus ,and I
never looked at the number of the bus or
the time . In addition, when the quarter began, we went to the same places to study,
but that’s day my sister was absent, so my sister taught me how to ride the bus
.It was kind of easy. That day, I waited for Bus 14 in the opposite way, but it
was the same number that we road every time, so I was thinking that I was right
.I rode the bus and sat in the chair. Half an hour later, I was still on the
bus, and I didn't see my apartment yet .Moreover, after 40 minutes I realized
that I took the wrong bus. When I asked someone near me, he said that we would
go downtown. At that time, I felt that I was still lost. I talk to the bus
driver to help to go back to my apartment .He said, “ OK” so he will finish his
route ,then he will picked me and returned me to the Loma Linda hospital where
was nearby my sister apartment. I thank God I found a good man who helped me at
that time. Otherwise, I would be lost until my sister wake up. Finally, I
returned to my lovely home and learned a lot from this bad experience (that I
will never go out without my sister).

Hahahahahah Gosh I also have a same experience and it happened the very last weekend! I and my friend visited Tyler mall by the bus no.1. After 3 hours-shopping, we took the no.1 bus again to return to home, but the direction was oppiosite! I was very annoied by the fact that I didn't check the signal which indicate its direction on the bus before we took it.
ReplyDeleteAs a result, I got a great lesson that I need to check the direction as well as the number of a bus, haha. -Minji Lee

ReplyDeleteAbdullah, I think that you will be more alert when you want to use the buses.
It is relay bad feeling. I hope that you never full in that mistake in future.
It is a funny story... by the way, the transportation facilities are not good in Southern California, so the best thing that you can do to avoid such troubles is owning a car.

haha, you are so funny, Abdullah. I had a lot of similar experience with you. When I was in my country, Taiwan, I usually took subway or bus to everwhere. I didn't make a mistake about the direction. On the contrary, I like to talk with my friends while I was taking a transportation, so I always miss the station where I want to get off.
